- What is a Cookie Clicker?
- A Cookie Clicker is an incremental clicker (idle clicker): you click to earn a resource, buy generators that produce while you are away, then unlock upgrades to speed up progress.
- Is this Cookie Clicker really free?
- Yes. ChocoLOCK Cookie Clicker is a free game with no download and no sign-up. You play online in the browser, on desktop or phone.
- Do I need to install anything?
- No. It is an online Cookie Clicker: open the page, click the ChocoLOCK Cookie and the run starts. Progress is saved locally in your browser.
- What is the difference between rebirth and ascension?
- Rebirth wipes your balance, generators and upgrades but keeps your talents, achievements, level and tokens: the classic prestige of an incremental game. Ascension is the only full reset. It requires a level bar that rises every time (25 for the first, +15 for each one after) and clears even the token tree. In exchange you keep a permanent compounding multiplier (×1.6) and earn ascension shards, the currency of the upper tree. Shards survive everything, like the talents they buy.
- How do I earn talent tokens?
- Two ways. Every level you reach grants one, and rebirth grants them based on your lifetime production on a cube-root curve: doubling the reward takes eight times the cookies. A golden cookie caught in flight can drop one too.
- Does the game keep running when I close the tab?
- No, and that is on purpose: production stops with the page. This Cookie Clicker does not reward leaving a tab open overnight, and experience is only earned by playing. Your run waits where you left it.
- What is the Trading Post and its market for?
- The Trading Post opens after your first ascension. You change whole cookies into ChocoCOINS, then buy and sell three commodities whose prices move live. ChocoCOINS also pay for desks that produce on their own, timed contracts and relic chests. None of it feeds your score: the leaderboard only counts cookies.
- Can I continue my run on another device?
- Yes, with a free account. Your run is then saved to the account and follows you from phone to desktop, along with your place on the global leaderboard. Without an account it stays in the browser you play in.
